It’s interesting how the Neo-Miltary trend is surfacing on different Spring-Summer 2010 shows, in different guises. G.I. Jane  thinly camouflaged as varsity Americana at Alexander Wank, soz, Wang ♥… a veritable tent-like tunic at MaxMara… a bit of camo netting here and the odd saharienne patch pocket there at Jil Sander – see also, Gareth Pugh for his down-in-the-trenches gothic warriors in their home-from-battlefield shredded parachute dresses and smudgy camo make up…. Balenciaga’s stealth bomber hoodies and control panel sheathes…. a nod to Comme des Garcons’ military forays at Meadham Kirchoff… Cristina Ortiz’s defiant swan song to the jodphur at Ferragamo… I wonder where next?
